Customer reviews for EB Games in Conestoga Mall

(2/5) Friendly Staff but Poor Quality Control

By  on Apr 28, 2015

There was only one employee at the time I was there, but it was midday during the week, so the store was otherwise empty. Said employee was knowledgeable and friendly. However, having just opened the used game I bought, I noticed silver doughnut-shaped stickers placed around the hole in the disc, slightly off-centre. They seem to be an attempt to fix a crack along the inside edge of the disc. I wouldn't mind it if the crack had been properly fixed, but as I said, the stickers are off-centre and the edges of the crack aren't quite flush with each other. My 360 makes hums abnormally loudly if I attempt to play the game. I don't know whether EB Games did the repairs or if it came to them like that, but the disc is clearly not pristine. Since game discs are kept in the back to deter theft, I'd be surprised if whoever took the game out of the case failed to notice the flaw, if the disc did come to them already-repaired.
