Worst bank in canada | by  on Dec 14, 2020

Do not go to this bank if you are a business. they are running a scam here holding bank drafts like they are personal cheques. why pay extra for a draft when there made to not be held, the manager would not give me access to funds even when the other bank offered to talk with them confirming the draft, i told the other bank they were still being difficult and wont call you to verify Its authenticity. The manager at the other bank felt sorry and couldn't believe how difficult td was being especially so close to Christmas and during a pandemic. There are other banks that actually care about there customers and will go well and beyond for you. Dont let td fool you i have been told they have a choice when holding a draft. if you are a new or old business owner and have employees and over head and material costs this is the worst bank for you .they will hold your draft for nine days crippling a contract with a client. How i was treated is unethical and if they treat business owners during a pandemic this way i can imagine there loosing clients. holding business owners money hostage is not a good way for a bank to stay in business. a draft is a draft not a cheque and when the business owners client has authenticated it and payed for a draft so it wont be held it shouldnt be held, and when a branch at another bank offers to authenticate it even giving you a card to contact them you have an obligation to the business to give them access to there funds.... i will be switching banks to rbc they promise to not treat business owners this way, they also offer free ipads for opening a new account at rbc... see yahhhh td at Devonshire mall and your crappy 2.6 star rating. ill be canceling my business account and personal account soon. Also guess the 4 houses my company and partners own that we are selling this year will be going into an rbc account. let that set in for abit might even fax you the sales going into the new bank just to be sweet. I seen you took my last post down probably because you dont want people seeing how i was dealt with. i will continue to inform others of the situation because everyone i have told including other banks cant believe how you conduct business and i have 2 other banks i deal with. I have contacted td customer care for a complaint and even they say none of this makes Sense if the draft can be authenticated and it has been authenticated. You should also inform business owners prior to opening a business account that you hold drafts, And that was not discussed prior to my account. i can guarantee business owners would look elsewhere if they new That you did this. You have gave me 3 days before Christmas until i can access these funds putting me behind in work. So much for the Christmas spirit.
