(1/5) Worst Salon Experience of My Life
By Amanda Hiebert on May 02, 2017
Last week, I was in with my sisters to get mani/pedi's done for my brother-in-law's funeral. I explained to the person working at the front that we were in to support my sister and that it was important that we go in together, and that she be treated with care as she was in a very fragile state, but it was important for her to feel her best for the Celebration of Life. The design she requested on her toes (hearts) was sloppy. When I spoke with the manager and kindly asked that the re-do them, he (literally) waved me off and said that they were fine while my sister looked on despondent. When she came to sit and have her nails done, she showed the man (who I believe is one of the owner's) a design and asked if he could do it. His response was 'similar, but no glitter,' which was odd as we saw rows and rows of various colours of glitter. As she tried to find a design that was more manageable on her phone, he got up - WALKED away and started doing a manicure for another customer without saying a word to my sister or any of us. While two of my sisters and I were stuck under heat lamps waiting for our nails to dry, my poor sister had to sit and wait until we were finished so we could take her to another salon and have her properly cared for. This was hands down - the worst experience I have ever had at a salon and I would strongly advise against choosing them.
