Had an unsolicited offer for line of credit. Not one phone call when promised. Arrived for paperwork to find a debt consolidation and credit card cancellation and sold products that I didn’t want - bait and switch. I also got to listen to the person brag about the best banker ever at 24 years old while I waited for him to print paperwork for an hour for our appointment that was arranged one month earlier. This rep called me at work and texted me “just to see how I was doing” ... !!!! I had to block to stop sales harassment, and then calls came to my work number for no reason other than to sell me more products! Another time told to go to RBC to verify a stale dated cheque ... basically “go somewhere else so that they can tell you no” ... RBC said they never heard of such a thing but I was told by my CIBC customer rep and her manager that this could be done! Apparently I am unable to access my brother’s estate account without a specific employee being present in the branch!!!! CIBC has great mobile app - this branch has nothing but incompetent employees.
