Arbutus Shopping Centre is a new mixed-use development that is transforming the Arbutus Ridge neighbourhood of Vancouver’s Westside. The plan involved demolishing the existing mall and replacing it with four new buildings that would create a more urban and walkable environment. The plan was approved by the City of Vancouver in 2018, after several revisions and consultations with the community. The construction began in 2019 and is expected to be completed by 2022.
