About a week ago the wife and I went to Lowes to look at a shelve unit as it was on sale. When I asked an associate about the free shipping advertised in that weeks flyer , she said it only applied to online purchases. NP ... I ordered and paid online only to find this item didn't qualify for free shipping. So much for the advice given to me. Order was confirmed as was item ready for P/U. A few days later I went back to store to P/U the item. Waited 5 min. to speak with customer service...NP...gave my info and she typed up a pick order and called another associate to get my item giving him the order. After waiting about 10 min. I told the customer service person I'll be in the isle where the shelves were looking for the 2nd associate to see what was taking so long. He couldn't find one unit for me. I asked if they tagged a unit with my name etc and he says they don't do that. We were able to spot 13 units on the top rack and he said he needed to get someone to drive a lift to lower a unit down for me. After another 10 min. a 3rd worker came and took the pick order from the 2nd assoc. and left. I find out later the 3rd person is the 2nd assocs. boss. I got tired of waiting in the isle so back to customer service I go and have her call the manager on shift atm. He never picks up and talks to her. I head back to the isle to see my unit FINALLY on a dolly ready to be taken to customer service. I tell the 2nd assoc to meet me at customer service where I was then asked to sign some paperwork. When I asked the girl at customer service about a copy showing I had picked up my item she tells me they don't do that. I inform her I want a copy and she does photocopy the stores copy with my signature on it and hand it to me. I tell the 2nd assoc. to meet me outside and we'll load it into my car which he does. It's now been 36 min. since I entered the store to pick up my item that I ordered and paid for a few days earlier. Was I P'd off? Your know I was. Will I shop at Lowes again? Good luck with that ! You can bet I'll be telling this story to everyone I know to show them the BS one has to go through
