Scotiabank DELETED my savings account to where my pension goes in and simply refuses to call me back. I have left SEVERAL messages. No reason has been given by the call center lackies. I have been without an account for days and have no idea how I am going to receive my pension this month.

The manager phoned me and had a nice conversation with me about what had happened and fixed the problem which made me feel better about coming back because I was feeling somewhat nervous about walking in the bank again. Thank you!

I went in yesterday Nov.3/2020 to Spruceland Scotia to get out some cash, not a very large amount and the teller asked me "why I needed to get out the money and what it was for", I was surprised by the question so my eyes widened a bit. I told her that "I needed it to pay my father in law while he was coming through town tomorrow and that I was putting it in my safe tonight until he comes through town tomorrow", she then turned around and started talking to another teller. After, she turned around and said "I could not take out my money" so I replied "your denying me MY own money" and she finally after asking again, gave me half of it but not the full amount that I needed. I am 21 years old and started thinking to myself after "did she not give me my money because of my age? I do not have a shared account, did I look like I was going to use it for something I shouldn't? Why wouldn't she give me my cash that I work everyday for?" I somewhat felt discriminated against and left really upset. After work I came back and got the last half of my cash out of the ATM machine. I did not like how I was denied my own money.
