Scarborough Town Centre (STC) is a shopping mall in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is the largest shopping centre in Toronto’s east end and the fourth largest in Canada by retail space. It is located at 300 Borough Drive, near Highway 401 and McCowan Road. It is also adjacent to Scarborough Centre station, the Scarborough Centre Bus Terminal and the CTV Toronto studios. The mall was opened on May 2, 1973 by Trizec Corporation, a real estate development company. It was designed by architect John Graham Jr., who also designed the Seattle Space Needle and the West Edmonton Mall. The mall originally had two anchor stores: Eaton’s and Simpson’s, and about 130 other stores. Over the years, the mall underwent several expansions and renovations, adding more stores, services and entertainment options. Today, the mall has over 250 stores and services, including Hudson’s Bay, Walmart, and Cineplex Cinemas. The mall offers a variety of dining options, from fast food to fine dining. The mall has two food courts: TASTE MRKT on the lower level and MRKT Bites on the upper level. There are also several restaurants and cafes inside and outside the mall, such as Moxie’s Grill & Bar, Milestones Grill & Bar, Starbucks, Tim Hortons, KFC, McDonald’s, and more. The mall is open from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The mall also has special hours for holidays and events.

The mall has some interesting features and attractions that make it a popular destination for shoppers and visitors. For example, the mall has a Scarborough Walk of Fame, which honours ten prominent members of Scarborough’s community who have made significant contributions to various fields. The stars (plaques) of the Walk of Fame are located behind the main atrium, in front of H&M. The mall also hosts various events and promotions throughout the year, such as fashion shows, concerts, contests, giveaways, and more. The mall has ample parking spaces for its customers and guests. There are over 3000 parking spaces available in four parking lots around the mall. The parking is free for up to four hours per day. There are also designated parking spots for electric vehicles, accessible vehicles, expectant mothers, and families with small children. The mall is easily accessible by public transit as well. The Scarborough Centre station on Line 3 Scarborough of the TTC subway system is connected to the mall by a pedestrian bridge. The station also connects to the Scarborough Centre Bus Terminal, which serves various TTC bus routes and GO Transit buses. The bus terminal is located on the south side of Albert Campbell Square, across from the Scarborough Civic Centre.
