Could not return an item I purchased online a bit over a month ago. I had my receipt and tags were still on. My purchase was more than my return would have been. Guess they didnt want to make a sale. Such terrible customer service. Why would I wanted to shop at reitmans. Ill take my business elsewhere.

Best tall fit in pants that I've found in ages. The pieces that I purchased were very stylish and very good prices. Unfortunately, Reitman's falls down big time on communication and customer service. Online information does not clarify well enough the degree of separation between shopping online v. shopping in store. It isn't like, for example, "The Shoe Factory" where you can return items bought in store by mail or vice versa, items ordered on line at a store. If you don't live in an urban area, this is an issue. Get home and think you've bought the wrong size while shopping "under pressure"--you've got another long trip to take it back. Additionally, the system for getting information by phone is abysmal. I was on hold for over an hour--no indications of wait time, no call back system, only the warning, "don't hang up or you'll lose your place in line". Lastly, the customer service rep. I spoke to was just plain rude. A great shame--these customer service items may well be the blow that puts the company out of business.
